LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY - KOKKALA
Soloteri or Kokkala, is a sea side village standing in the south east of Mani. The small chuch stands on a tiny peninsula named Taxiarhis. There is no real beach but the bottom of the bay is sprayed with pebbles and small stones.bit main roadish and definitely tourist orientated. Quit spread out along the main road. There are beaches at either end of the village, both being pebbly. The one we went to was deserted and tne taverna was closed so Nick took advantage and sat in their shade on their chairs!
We also had quite a decent plate of squid at Monaxia restaurant, in Kokkala. Lots of cats joined us!!
